AFEL, Asbestos French Ethic Lab, is an association gathering accredited french laboratories for asbestos detection with TEM method. The main purpose of the association is to enhance and promote the French experience to share our knowledge at the international scale.

THE AFEL’S AMBITIONS :
AFEL aims to be an important interlocutor for public authorities in the development of national regulations and standards.
AFEL aims to be dynamic, taking part in various activities such as the AFNOR X43-D COMMISSION.
Also AFEL want to shares its 25 years of TEM know-how with Europe. As part of the new European OEL directive, AFEL took part in the international working group called “Asbestos Laboratories Analysis”. This opened the way for exchanges on the ability of different analysis methods to comply with the new requirements.
